Kaua'i, Hawai'i
We were very much looking forward to our second visit to Kaua'i, the third port of call on this cruise. I had rented a car for the day to be able to visit the Waimea Canyon on the other side of the island. In addition I booked a tour by helicopter to fly over the Nā Pali coast. Unfortunately the weather was pretty bad. We did drive to the Waimea Canyon but with all the fog in the canyon there was hardly any visibility. On top of that we were informed that the helicopter tour was cancelled.
The next day however, as a courtesy to the guests, the captain of the Norwegian Jewel decided to sail up and down the Nā Pali coast and we had some spectacular views of this amazing coastline.
