Road Trip Perth to Sydney, Australia (2024)

During our winter escape in Australia we stayed for a while in our favourite city, the city of Perth in Western Australia. With a New Zealand cruise planned for March we decided to drive to Sydney across the Nullarbor, an exciting road trip that took us four weeks to complete. In Western Australia we followed the southern coastal route with its spectacular nature. Before crossing the Nullarbor we visited the mining town of Kalgoorlie. The 1.256 km long Nullarbor itself was a lot more attractive than we expected; awesome cliffs and a lot less desert than anticipated. After the Nullarbor we drove through the Ikara-Flinders Ranges towards Adelaide, followed by Kangaroo Island and the Great Ocean Road towards Melbourne after which we took the fastest route to Sydney.
